The Sam Day Foundation funds medical and nutritional research for rare childhood, adolescent and young adult cancers with an emphasis on sarcomas and brain tumors. SDF recognizes the deficit in resources and attention toward these rare cancers and subsequently, the very limited treatment options for young people with these cancers.
We are thankful to photograph and volunteer with The Sam Day Foundation. The Sam Day Organization gives hope to children fighting cancer. A portion of our photo sessions will be donated to the Sam Day Foundation. By allowing us to be your photographers, you are donating to a very worthy foundation. One day, kids with cancer will survive and live well.
The Sam Day Foundation started as a group of people who loved Sam Day and were compelled to fight for him and other young people dealing with the brutality of childhood cancer. While Sam was still alive, friends came together and raised over $350,000 for Ewing Sarcoma research through another organization.
Every year, approximately 17,000 children in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer.
Only 4% of the budget from the National Cancer Institute is dedicated to childhood cancer.
Many of the most devastating childhood and young adult cancer treatments are 40 years old, and research progress is decades behind that of most adult cancers.
